In Gujarat, which has seen considerable industrial progress, the key cities of Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara come readily to mind.

Samsung Mobile has launched 'Samsung BeaT270 Karaoke Contest' across India in search of Samsung's singing sensation. The BeaT270 karaoke contest will be carried for a period of one month in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Surat, Kanpur, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Nagpur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Indore, Pune, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar.
Kingfisher Airlines to start routes from Surat by Oct

Kingfisher Airlines will start flights on the Surat-Jaipur and Surat-Ahmedabad routes from Gujarat. The two routes are expected to kick-off in the first week of October.
No revision in power tariff to TPL till '08 says GERC

Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission or GERC has ordered that there will be no revision in the electricity tariff to Torrent Power Ltd or TPL for its Ahmedabad & Surat operations till 2007-2008. Torrent Power Ltd had filed petition demanding revision in electricity tariff in May 2007.
FY08 profit seen at Rs 15 cr: Bhagwati Banquets & Hotels

Narendra Somani, CMD at Bhagwati Banquets and Hotels says that for the next year, the expected turnover will be around Rs 50 crore with a total profit of Rs 15 crore, including opertaing profits and interest earned.
Total project cost around Rs 80 cr: Bhagwati

CMD of the company Narendra Somani says that they are coming up with a five star hotel and a convention center in Surat and the project cost is nearby Rs 80 crore.
