I doubt if it happens soon. Look at Benz/BMW/Audi, they did not lose out to Ford/GM/Toyota. As long the company keeps the target customers happy they can command premium. (mass v/s class). But the risk of turning into one more company is always there and more so with Apple without Steve Jobs.

Apple has raised the price tag for all electronic good.. Steve Jobs might not have a piece of furniture at his home but he has by pricing his products so high allowed all those other electronic gadgets to have similar benchmarks for their pricetags.. SHAME... technology can never be expensive
