Dear Dharanesh If by MF means Equity MKF, then better stay away fro Short term investment. If your investment horizon is at least 4-5 years away then you may invest in Equity MF or Equity Oriented hybrid MF. For short term of 3 yrs or less, better to invest in Short Term Debt Fund or FMP

Dear Vyomangel 1 to 1.5 yr period is too risky for Funds like SBI Magnum Balanced or HDFC MIP-STP or ICICI Pru MIP-25 as Equity component in these Funds are 64%, 23 % and 24% respectively. For such duration it is better to go for Short Term Debt Fund. Sundaram Select Debt Short Term or Templeton

Dear dpp1979, I think you are referring SBI ULTRA Short Term DEBT Fund. I am having STP from this Fund to other SBI Funds by Internet Facility Option. Please not that SBIMF Website is suitable for INTERNET EXPLORER and not MOZILLA FIREFOX. SBI Magnum Income Floating Rate LTP Fund is also GOOD
