Q3 GDP at 6.1%: How do experts view it?

Despite a very sharp fall in December industrial output, economists do not seem to be too surprised. Though not disappointed, Samiran Chakrabarty, Head of Research, Standard Chartered Bank feels unfortunately this number is what goes into GDP calculations, hence it might not be revised upwards the way some people were anticipating.

Samiran Chakrabarty expects October inflation to be in the range of 9.5% to 9.7%. "November will also stay pretty high. It is only in December we will see the number dip below 9% maybe closer to 8%."
