Ram Kolluri, President and CIO, Global Investment Management, said that India is a buy in the long-term. "In the short-term, there are concerns that interest rates might rise and global liquidity is showing signs of drying up," he added.

Asian indices started off on a mixed note. The Nikkei is absolutely flat, Korea is down 0.3%, and Shanghai is rather volatile. Japan's Nikkei was down 0.09%, or 16.03 points, at 17,947.61 while South Korea's Seoul Composite declined 0.37%, or 7.39 points, at 1,985.66.

Asian indices advanced today, helped by the recovery on Wall Street. Asian markets have started off in the green and are holding on to their levels. Shanghai has picked up a fair bit, up about a 1%; Hang Seng also gaining strength, up about a 1.5%; and so is Korea.
