March Index of Industrial Production (IIP) at - 3.5% is a shocker, says Pronab Sen of Planning Commission. However, according to him, things are starting to bottom out. He doesnt expect a recovery till the second half of FY13.

The countrys former Chief Statistician and current Planning Commission Member Pronab Sen believes that the discrepancy at 0.4 % is very low this year but we in India are unique because we get agitated whether it is high or low. Systematically the discrepancy number should be at 2.5 %.
