HC verdict on IGL to boost gas distribution cos: RS Pandey

In an interview with CNBC-TV18, RS Pandey, Former Oil Secretary said that the high court ruling has offered a significant relief for not only IGL, but also other city gas distribution (CGD) companies. According to him, the judgement has brought about a positive atmosphere.

Market analyst SP Tulsian of sptulsian.com, explains to CNBC-TV18 that of all the ambitious infra stocks, IVRCL and Sintex seem to the most stable and promising. Thanks to the quashing of the PNGRB order by the courts, IGL has being to see renewed investor interest.

In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Harshavardhan Dole of IIFL said that there is a possibility of PNGRB challenging the order in the Supreme Court. According to Dole, there is not much to be predicted about the stock at the moment and whether the positivity on the IGL stock continues or not, depends on PNGRB's next move.

The Delhi High Court has ruled in favour of Indraprastha Gas that government regulator Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) does not have the authority to fix tariffs. Reacting to the development, IGL surged 29% to close at Rs 249.35 on the BSE.
