With the Budget around the corner, Som Mittal, president of NASSCOM says, he is ready to present NASSCOM's demands to the government which includes removal of MAT on SEZs and simplification of tax strategies.

NASSCOM has submitted its Budget 2010-11 wishlist to the government, where in it has recommended that the STPI initiatives should be at par with SEZ schemes. "SEZ anomaly should be removed retrospectively."

KPOs are the fastest growing sectors in India, a huge employer and is helping India position itself as part of the knowledge economy. KPOs want Software Technology Parks to continue as it helps smaller players. Smaller companies that are not in a position to use the SEZ schemes use that to their advantage, reports CNBC-TV18.
