When Dr Manmohan Singh demitted the office in 2014 the rate of service tax was just 12.36%. This govt in the last 2 years has raised it to 15% on flimsy ground. Now there is a talk of raising it to 18% to align it with the minimum rate of GST.That will be a big big neative for the economy

Its a shame that when Manmohan Singh was finance minister and PM for two terms he could not do anything to pull out black money or about corruption. What a famous economist Ex Governor or RBI could not do it is done by Mr. Modi. Manhoman Singh never spoke in 10 years. Now woken up sir?
