Equity funds for the second consecutive session ended in a positive terrain led by market rebound. Meanwhile Debt funds continue to deliver positive returns on account of RBIs OMO purchases.

The downfall in the equity segment continued on account of weak market condition. The trading session ended with BSE benchmark falling 127.07 points or 0.77% at 16,292.98 and the NSE at 4,928.90 down by 36.80 points or 0.74%.

Equity funds ends with negative returns amid volatile trading session. The BSE benchmark fell 56 points or 0.33%, to close at 17,151.29 and the NSE benchmark declined 20.65 points or 0.4% to 5,202.

Equity funds remained on the positive terrain led by uptick in the market. The BSE benchmark rose 73.95 points or 0.42%, to close at 17,478.15 while Nifty managed to hold the 5300 level quite nicely.

Equity funds witnessed a steep fall caused by markets downfall. The 30-share BSE index fell 2.3 percent, or 405.24 points, to close at 17,196.47, its biggest one-day fall since Feb 27. The 50-share Nifty index lost 2.5 percent, or 136.50 points, to end at 5,228.45.
