It seems the glory days are back for the dollar. The greenback rose to a three week high on Monday all thanks to US Presidents promise to cut taxes to encourage corporate profits and investments. The dollar has gained strength in the past few months and the dollar index has breached the 100 point mark.

Indian Mentality is loving GOLD than any other investment option. Inflation indexed bonds could not be pro economy as repayment in terms of indexation will cost heavily on Government.

with RBI. If the bonds are linked to inflation, the higher returns in the next 1 or 2 years will be taken away by lower rates at a later dates on lower inflation. Over all our interest rates are around 8 - 10% range. Even the inflation indexed bonds may not give beyond this for a period of 10 years
