Excise duty on unbranded petrol was hiked from Rs 1.20 per litre to Rs 2.70 per litre and unbranded diesel from Rs 1.46 a litre to Rs 2.96. For branded petrol it was raised from Rs 2.35 a litre to Rs 3.85 and on branded diesel from Rs 3.75 to Rs 5.25 per litre.

(which is a condition If JAICA loan from Japan with very low interest is being taken by Indian govt) and the connected FDI is approved by cabinet. Texmaco will also benefit as i think it has tie up with an australian firm for technology and now if FDI gets cabinet approval then great probablity

From another perspective, anti-dumping duty will not help us in achieving the targets of NSM Phase II, in terms of time. The programme will be set back
