Whatever the bid price of GSPC for BG stake, it hardly matters, bcoz as per SEBI rules, it has to be 20% premium to last 26 wk avg price, e.g, Thomascook, Bidder bought stake at Rs. 50, but open offer came at Rs.65 plus bcoz of 26 wk avg price of around 54-55, so in GGas case also irrespective

There are only 4 bidders remain for GGas. IOC & ONGC combine bidded, BPCL and GSPL and one more foreign bidder who have not submitted his bids. Others like Adani & Torrent all are out of the race. So G Gas is suppose to go to PUCs company.. Not bed at all... but people reaction is always weird...

Gujarat Gas Company (GGAS) has lost 20 per cent of its market cap in the past three weeks, owing to lower-than-expected Q2FY12 results and the news that its parent BG is exiting from the company. The exit of BG is a negative, as GGAS benefited immensely from its parents gas-sourcing abilities
