POSITIVE ALERT FOR SBI: to get more deposits and to ensure credit cards dont go default, SBI today announced a scheme wherein credit cards will be issued without checking for those keeping 20k to 25k in savings account or in fd linked saving account. fees for 4 years are also waived thus

this is a desperate measure to get deposits from savings accounts. idbi bank already announced that for those savings accounts who keep FD of 25k and above, they can withdraw and deposit cash unlimited times and also use atm unlimited times and no charges will be levied. charge is discretionary
