20 Microns are on strike since the last three weeks and the activities of the plant have been temporarily stopped. In an interview with Chandresh S Parikh, Chairman and Managing Director of 20 Microns gave a status check on the ongoing strike.

20 Microns sees 28-30% growth in 2008-09 topline as well as bottom line for FY09. The long-term investors will remain and prosper with company, it said. The company sees 22% growth in decorative paints.

Chandresh S. Parikh, Chairman & MD, 20 Microns said that his companys IPO issue is for raising capacity. We have an investment fund - Gujarat Venture Fund and they are diluting 50% of their investment. We are going to use rest of the money for expansion of our existing capacity, Parikh said.

20 Microns will issue 94.25 lakh shares, which will constitute 49.10% of post issue paid-up equity capital. Chandresh S Parikh, CMD at 20 Microns, said that they intend to invest about Rs 42 crore out of the IPO to mainly to increase their existing capacity. He said the expansion will take about nine-ten months.
