The tender offer by specialty chemicals group LANXESS AG for the remaining shares of Petroflex S.A. in Brazil has been met with great interest. Under the public tender offer to the minority stockholders LANXESS has acquired a further 27% of Petroflex shares, giving it a total interest of around 97% in the company.

Specialty Chemicals Company LANXESS AG plans to move its headquarters from Leverkusen to Cologne. Relocation is to be completed by 2011. LANXESS will now begin discussions with the city of Cologne to identify possible sites.
