UTI AMC has expressed continuing concerns over interest rate and inflation and that market pullback was unexpected. There are no concerns on earnings and revenue on the growth front. Markets are expected to be volatile for another 2 quarters.
UTI to launch overseas fund by March-end

UTI Mutual Fund plans to launch two new funds, including a Global Navigator Fund, by March-end. The Global Navigator Fund would be the first overseas fund of UTI MF, which is the country's largest mutual fund.

The mutual fund industry ended 2006 with a bang, lots of NFOs were floated and lots of money came in. AK Sridhar, Chief Investment Officer of UTI Mutual Fund estimates that funds that were launched in the first half of last year, more or less up to 85-90% must have gotten invested.

UT MF is invested mostly in banking, IT and petrochem stocks, says AK Sridhar of UTI MF. He adds that they are not invested in steel stocks as of now.
