Adlabs Films to demerge radio business; stk up

Adlabs Films touched an intraday high of Rs 397.70 and an intraday low of Rs 390. At 10 am, the share was quoting at Rs 392.20, up Rs 4.05, or 1.04% on the NSE. The company is going to demerge radio business, exit film production space, reports CNBC-TV18. It was trading with volumes of 163,237 shares.

Adlabs records 49% revenue growth YoY in September. On a sequential trailing quarter basis (April to June 08 quarter), Turnover and operating EBIDTA excluding radio, has grown by 21% and 30% respectively

Adlabs records 217 % revenue growth Y-O-Y in June 08. Radio business, included from this quarter, contributed revenue of Rs 51 crore. PBT of Rs 6 crore after providing for increased depreciation and interest on account of radio.

Venkat Devarajan, CFO Adlabs Films, said the Adlabs radio demerger process will be completed soon. 15% revenues will come from TV in FY09, he said.
