Interest Rate Futures on NSE are based on a Notional 10 year GOI bond, bearing a notional 7% interest rate coupon payable half yearly. The tradable lot size is Rs 2 lacs (multiplier of 2000). The NSE records 1475 trades resulting in 14559 contracts being traded at a total value of Rs 267.31 crores.
