The markets fell as much as 1.1% as the falling rupee weighed on investor sentiment. All Equity and Balanced funds ended with negative returns recording few gainers. Meanwhile Debt funds continue to deliver good performance.

The downfall in the equity segment continued on account of weak market condition. The trading session ended with BSE benchmark falling 127.07 points or 0.77% at 16,292.98 and the NSE at 4,928.90 down by 36.80 points or 0.74%.

DSP BlackRock Mutual Fund has increased its weightage in pharmaceuticals, metals & mining and consumer non-durables space. However, it decreased its investments in cement & construction, oil & gas and chemicals.

Equity funds declined in the last trading session owing to weak performance of the markets. In the market session, the benchmark sensex shuts shop at 17301.91 down 16.90 points or 0.10% while Nifty closed at 5239.15 down 9.00 points or 0.17%.
