From the very beginning, India, being a nation strong in agro-based industries, has mostly been exporting agriculture or agro-based products to the rest of the world.
From rice, to wheat, to cotton and sugarcane, our nation attracts a huge revenue through these products. On the other hand, one very crucial thing India has had to import is crude oil and machinery, making our overall imports a very expensive affair as well.
