Ajay Srivastava of Dimensions Consulting is of the view that Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank and HDFC Bank are showing strong fundamental buying opportunities in terms of banking sector now.

Srivastava told CNBC-TV18, "ICICI Bank is a very sad chapter in the private banking history and less the said the better about it. Having said that, fundamentally speaking there is nothing better than what’s happening today in the market for the private sector banks. In terms about they are able to capture the market share they are able to do the business in this market etc. Nothing fundamentally seemed to have changed yes the sentiment may have dropped out. But fundamental value for these banks still remain intact lets get to Axis Bank for instance or HDFC Bank for instance barring the surprises that may come because of the undisclosed nature of transactions, I would think that these are pretty strong among the private banking the Kotak Bank, Axis bank and HDFC. This trio represents very strong fundamental buying opportunities in terms of banking sector today."
