Investment Advisor SP Tulsian is of the view that SBI is looking good for long term. Tulsian told CNBC-TV18, "My call is a bit positive on the private sector banking mainly because of the April 2009 deadline when the banking relaxation will be made about the investments by the private sector and maybe post that you will see a strong appetite, you do not have much of the private sector banking available and there are in all about 18 listed which 9-10 are quite reasonably valued. Public sector bank has been beaten a lot. Some of the 6-7 banks are ruling below book value, so maybe in the short run because of the intra-sensitive reason maybe in the short term can give you pain but if you again have a long term call but specifically coming on SBI is available for a song at Rs 1200, you have the rights issue having seen at much higher levels. So if somebody really has a long term call of at least one year then this is the best stock in the PSU Banking lot available." |
