Mehraboon Irani of Centrum Broking is of the view that short term investors can look at the open offer as an exit opportunity in Mphasis.

Irani told CNBC-TV18, "Mphasis is going to lead to increased business especially offshoring business for MphasiS coming to the delisting if it happens. I personally feel this sort of I will make sure ultimately make an open offer possible. If one goes by the track record of IT companies may given the open across, trading the open offer across. It has been positive for most of the shareholders."

He further added, "So I would say the delisting price, if there is a delisting again I am repeating if there is a delisting would be more or less around the present market price. But as far as business opportunities for MphasiS goes in the future I think EDS as well as HP there could be increased opportunities." 

"So overall positive as far as MphasiS goes but definitely not a call from my side that one should go ahead and buy the stock hope if that open offer takes place. My personal feeling is open offer should happen and if that happens I would like to discuss the synergy as far as what is happened right now. It is going to take its own time to fructify it is not going to happen too much on the short-term. For there could be people who look at things from a short-term angle, may look at the open offer as an exit opportunity. But it could be increased presence of opportunities for MphasiS and for its shareholders over a long-term."
