, Member, BSE/NSE is of the view that one can hold Power Grid at current level.
Mehta told CNBC-TV18, "If one bought Power Grid at Rs 150, then it would not be right to book the loss at this point of time, therefore the quality to remain invested and maybe if the price were to move up gradually to around Rs 125 to Rs 130 then that would be the level to sell off Power Grid. Fundamentally I think, its more of a business where there are fixed returns guaranteed by the government kind of a capital business model and long term of course is great because they are at the process of scaling up their capacity in terms of transmission lines and equipment and it could be a steady performer going forward."
He further added, "A lot of gains have been captured in the prices given that it is quoted at a PE multiple of around 25-26 times current year earnings and there are better options with in the power equipment space, which are available at more attractive valuations. So it is a hold but at every rise one should look at booking a loss and exiting from the stock."
