Euro Ceramics Ltd (ECL), a leading manufacturer of Vitrified Tiles,  Calcareous Tiles & Aluminium extruded Sections has posted satisfactory results for the year ended March 31, 2008. On a consolidated basis, Total income increased to Rs. 293.66 crores for FY 2007-08 as compared to Rs. 214.88 crores for the corresponding previous year, a growth of 37%. Earnings before Depreciation, Interest & Tax (EBDITA), a key profitability measure also increased by 23% to Rs 84.56 crores from Rs 69.06 crores in the corresponding year. For FY 2007-08, EBDITA margin remained healthy at 29.42%. Profit Before Tax (PBT) before exceptional items remained steady at Rs.42.57 crores and PAT also remained steady at Rs.30.90 crores.   

ECL manufactures Vitrified Tiles, Calcareous Tiles, and Aluminium extruded Sections at its state-of-the-art facility at Bhachau (Kutch) with technology from world leaders SACMI of Italy. ECL has also commenced commercial production of Sanitaryware at its existing state-of-the-art plant at Bhachau (Kutch) with an annual capacity of 11,000 MTPA. The Sanitary Ware unit has been completely funded from the proceeds of the successful IPO made in Feb 07. With the commissioning of the Sanitaryware unit, ECL becomes the only company in India to offer Vitrified tiles, Wall tiles, Calcareous tiles and Sanitaryware under one roof and meet all the needs of the customers. Thus, ECL is well poised to capitalize on the opportunities in the construction space and grow at a healthy pace in the coming years.
