Tulip IT Services has announced its fourth quarter results. The company has reported a net profit of Rs 33 crore in the fourth quarter of 2006-07 and revenues of Rs 293 crore (Rs 2.93 billion). The net profit figure for the previous quarter stood at about Rs 27.5 crore.
Hardeep Singh Bedi, Managing Director of Tulip IT Services says the company will always try to see to it that growth is sustained and he expects to sustain the numbers for FY08.
Excerpts from CNBC-TV18's exclusive interview with Hardeep Singh Bedi:
Q: How have you done in terms of sales figures and margins for the quarter?
A: Total revenues for the year are above Rs 843 crore, of which, around Rs 525 crore come is via network integration and Rs 315 crore has comes in through the VPN business. As far as the network integration business is concerned, overall revenues have seen a total increase of over 65%, while the business on a whole has seen a growth of 23%. The VPN business has seen an above 287% growth.
Q: Do you hope to maintain this sort of growth pattern even in FY08?
A: Our intention will always be to ensure that we sustain growth and we expect to be able to sustain these kind of numbers.
Q: If you could you put numbers to that?
A: Difficult to put exact numbers but we believe that this kind of growth will be sustained.
Q: What kind of margins have you managed in the current quarter? Where do you see the margin picture panning actually?
A: Total profit after tax is about 94.6%, which is a growth of almost 92% over the last year, while the QoQ, or corresponding quarter last year, gives a total increase of about above 63%. So, on an overall basis, the company saw robust profit growth.
Q: What is your fourth quarter revenues?
A: Fourth quarter revenues stood at Rs 293 crore, while that of the corresponding quarter last year was Rs 178 crore.
Q: You could tell me more about your blended ARPU levels?
A: As far as the average revenue per user, or ARPU, level is concerned, it has remained broadly constant at about Rs 42,000 per user.
Q: What is your subscriber base in the IP VPN segment?
A: Our subscriber base has grown very substantially. It has gone up to over 51,000 connections, which is a fairly large number.
