India's first multilingual portal in 9 languages, Webdunia, has introduced a unique classified advertisement service in local languages. If you are a professional, a businessman, a housewife, a job-seeker, a college student or a teenager seeking proficiency in spoken English or want to master yoga, this unique service is the answer. Apart from being totally free, it lets you post a classified ad in a language of your own choice, in your city, instantaneously. You do not need a newspaper that is published out of your city. Nor do you have to wait for your newspaper to carry the to-let classified ad during the weekend. So, whether you are looking for a house to rent, a pet to own, or a Kathak teacher to train your daughter during summer vacations, Webdunia classifieds is the answer. Maybe, your genius at home finds a friend in the next lane to swap his collection of rare Amar Chitra Katha books with his friend's collection of first editions via Webdunia classifieds. The registration for the classifieds is simple and quick. It gives users the option to post an advertisement and receive responses on the email, phone or even by post. The Webdunia users will have a simple dashboard available online. They can edit the advertisement or change the asking price in case they find no takers for the old mobike that was cared for so fondly. Talking about Webdunia's aspiration to become the country's largest portal, Webdunia COO Mr. Pankaj Jain said, "Webdunia continues to launch new initiatives to meet the emerging needs of netizens in the Indian languages. This is first of the several special services to be offered this quarter." Webdunia achieved a major technology breakthrough by migrating to Unicode. As a result all 9 portals are accessible on virtually any computer without downloading the language fonts. "Our indigenous state-of-the-art technology and content is made available to customers like Yahoo and MSN. Webdunia runs one of the finest emails service in Indian languages not only in India but the world over," Mr. Jain added. A Webdunia classified advertisement user gets an online dashboard to get quick reports on how many people have viewed the ad since it was posted or in the last 24 hours. The users will have the option of searching ads from 500 cities in 30 Indian states so as to narrow down their hunt for property rentals, service rentals and, automobile within the city or even look for bridegrooms across the length and breadth of India!. Selected classifieds from Webdunia will be published in the 60-year old leading Hindi daily from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Nai Dunia. Similarly, a few select classified ads from Nai Dunia will be featured in Webdunia. Unique Email in 9 Indian languages Being early creators of language content and technology for global software majors has given Webdunia unmatched expertise to strengthen its email service. Webdunia email service now has a built-in ease of input in 9 Indian languages, seamless transmission and display on a recipient's computer screen. The email service is available in Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu. Interestingly, for sending an e-mail in any of the 9 languages the sender does not need a language key board or language software. Nor does the recipient need any language software.
