Transcend Information Inc., a worldwide leader in memory products, once again proved that it stands out above the competition in the global technology industry. In Business Week magazine`s 2008 InfoTech 100, a list of the world's top 100 technology companies, Transcend ranks a respectable No. 62 overall and No. 7 in semiconductor industry. The company also demonstrated outstanding performance in individual categories, ranking 13th in revenue growth and scoring the 31st best ROE. A total of 18 Taiwanese companies listed in the InfoTech 100, with Transcend ranking eighth best among them. Only 33 companies from the U.S. were listed in the IT 100 this year, down from 43 in 2007.

Each year, Business Week sorts through the financial results of some 30,500 publicly traded technology companies across the globe, and ranks them based on four major criteria: shareholder return, revenue growth, return on equity and total revenue. This year's results also feature a number of Indian technology majors including Bharti Airtel at No. 61, Reliance Communications at No. 66, Wipro at No. 74 and HCL at No. 95.

Mr. Austin Huang, Regional Head - Sales, SAARC & APAC, Transcend, said, "Since it's founding in 1988, Transcend's business focus has always been on cultivating its own unique brand. Leveraging its superior product quality and excellent customer service, Transcend has an enormous base of loyal customers worldwide. With the establishment of multiple branches across the globe, Transcend is not only a highly diversified international enterprise, but also one of the fastest-growing global memory brands. Constantly looking toward the future, Transcend will continue to exploit its ability to provide innovative and useful high-tech products to its customers worldwide."

Transcend's great bonding with its customers was also evident at the recently concluded Computex 2008, the world's second largest IT exhibition. This year, Transcend's booth size was the largest it has ever been in the company's 20-year history, with an eye-catching central location at the new Nangang Exhibition Hall, Taipei World Trade Center. Through a winning combination of dynamic booth design, energetic showgirls and lots of cheerful stage activities, Transcend attracted many more people to its booth than last year.

Thousands of visitors from across the world thronged Transcend's booth to discover its latest product innovations, including cutting-edge DDR3 memory modules and solid-state drive (SSD) technology. They were also able to try out Transcend's T.sonic™ MP3 players and T.photo™ digital photo frames at the live demonstration area.
