Philips appoints Redington as shipment distributor

Philips Electronics Singapore Pte Ltd has appointed Redington India Ltd, the 2nd largest IT distributor in India as its direct shipment distributor for Philips range of LCD Monitors for entire India territory. Redington will import Philips LCD monitors directly for distribution and sale in India through its extensive distribution network. Philips Electronics Singapore also has appointed Redington India Ltd as its service provider for Monitors in India. Philips LCD monitors offer three-year on-site warranty support. Mr. Bob Kobes, Vice President and General Manager, Philips Consumer Lifestyle, Category Monitors said "Redington India is the natural choice as a distributor in our efforts to establish Philips LCD monitor sales in India as they played an important role in our earlier successes. Our strategic tie up with Redington will help us in our distribution depth and growth plans in India in our launch our new Series-9 range of monitors." Mr Sethumadhavan, Head - Strategic Business Unit, Components at Redington said, " Philips is a strong consumer brand and we expect Philips Monitors to grow faster than market.
