New Horizons India Ltd. (NHIL), the Indian arm of the world’s largest IT training solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Inder Madhan as Senior Vice-President of Applied Learning and Services.  Mr. Madhan will be responsible for the Corporate and Consumer models of training, and content development businesses. He will also be responsible for New Horizons’ Consulting and Business Solutions services, which include process engineering and quality initiatives, and will spearhead the Company’s foray into knowledge management. Mr. Madhan joins New Horizons with over 25 years’ experience in India and overseas, in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Operations, General Management, HR, Training and Consulting, in India, Middle East and Africa.

“Inder’s role as head of the Applied Learning Business Group is central to the success of New Horizons’  foray into non IT training areas  and we believe his cross sector skills and deep understanding of HR and human capital development needs of industry both in India and overseas will help steer New Horizons  success’, said Mr. Ajay K. Sharma, President and CEO, New Horizons India. ‘His own goals align closely with New Horizons’ mission to provide the highest standards in training and consulting services, using the best thinking and learning tools available, to encourage excellence and freedom of thought and I am proud to welcome him into the New Horizons’ family.”

Mr. Madhan’s function will be core to New Horizons’ mission of replenishing the talent pool of skilled professionals in India. NASSCOM along with the India Labour Report recently raised the alarm about the innumerable opportunities which may lie wasted if India does not create the ‘right skill’ force. Speaking on his appointment, Mr. Madhan said, ‘I look forward to my role at New Horizons, and hope to apply my skills to support the company in its mission to create an immense pool of industry ready talent in India.”

Prior to joining New Horizons’ Inder has worked for eight years in the automotive sector handling brands such as Schorling, Honda, Volvo and Chrysler in India and the Middle East, and another twelve years in Africa and the Middle East, handling FMCG and other large projects in the private and public partnership domain, and military sales. Inder has also worked with NIS Sparta as a senior training professional and then with an Indo-Australian Retail Chain as their General Manager.
