IACC celebrates American Independence Day & I-ACE Awards

The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), hosted a an event to celebrate the American Independence Day and the fourth ‘Indo-American Corporate Excellence(I-ACE) Awards’ at the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre, N.C.P.A, Mumbai on Saturday, June 28, 2008.  

Atul Nishar, Regional President, Indo American Chamber of Commerce was the host for the evening. Michael S Owen, U.S. Consul General was the Chief Guest of the event and Farokh T Balsara, National President, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce was the Guest of Honor. Ashank Desai, was the Chairman of the Jury of the Indo- American Corporate Excellence (I-ACE) Awards.

The event recognised the best U.S. companies in India by honoring them with the Indo-American Corporate Excellence Awards. The 2008 I-ACE winners were:

• The best U.S. Company in India in Financial Service Sector - DSP Merrill Lynch; Mr. Kevin Watts, President DSP Merrill Lynch and the Chairman Mr.Hemendra Kothari accepted the award on behalf of  DSP Merrill Lynch
• The best U.S. Company in India in the Technology, Communications & Entertainment Sector – Virtusa India; Mr. T N Hari, Senior Vice President  & Global Head of Human Resources accepted the award on behalf of Virtusa India
• The best U.S. Company in India in the field of Manufacturing & other services sector – Monsanto; Mr. Sekhar Natrajan , Regional Leader, Monsanto accepted the award on behalf of Monsanto
• The Indo-American Corporate Excellence Award to  the  overall  best  American  Company  operating  in  India - DSP Merrill Lynch; Mr. Kevin Watts, President DSP Merrill Lynch and the Chairman Mr. Hemendra Kothari accepted the award on behalf of  DSP Merrill Lynch
