Digitas launches second agency in India

Digitas, today announced the launch of its second agency in India. To be based out of Chennai, the second agency, branded Digitas has been launched with a specific focus on providing high end digital and CRM services, including CRM analytics to its Global and local clients, and will concentrate initially on the southern markets The agency will leverage Digitas' deep expertise in online marketing and CRM, as well as its global reach and business development resources, and the advantage that Chennai as a location provides in terms of its talent pool, especially in the digital space. The agency will be led by Ms. Saroja Kannan, senior vice president and country business head. Saroja is a marketing professional with over 17 years of experience across direct marketing communications, analytical CRM and online marketing. A keen planner & strategist, she has worked in the verticals of telecom, insurance, charity/fund raising, financial services, FMCG, education and IT sectors, both as an entrepreneur as well as organization lead. Previously, Saroja served as head of OgilvyOne, South, where she was awarded major international awards, including the Cannes Direct, Echo and Asian Effie's, for the most effective and innovative direct marketing campaign for her work on a Telecom brand. Among her many strengths, she has a proven track record of accomplishment in building brands and forging and maintaining meaningful client relationships. Announcing this new Digitas agency, Alan Rutherford, CEO, Digitas Global, said: "We entered India earlier this year as Solutions | Digitas.
