Tata Motors today announced that it is the Official Vehicle Provider to the Youth Baton Relay which is part of the 3rd Commonwealth Youth Games Pune 2008 (CYG). The Relay, starting from New Delhi University North Campus on August 1, 2008, will involve thousands of youth and cover 8000 kms from Delhi to Pune.  23 Tata Motors vehicles, which include Sumo Grande, Safari, Winger, Magic, 207 DI, and 407 SS, will accompany the entourage.

One of the vehicles provided by Tata Motors has been developed as a 'Special Green Vehicle' (SFC 407) that will continuously collect refuse from the relay. This will be processed into manure to be used for planting saplings on the route.
