Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) and GE Energy today announced a strategic partnership agreement that will focus on the Indian power generation market.   GE Energy will provide its power plant main control system products (DCS) to L&T. L&T will leverage its strengths in engineering and project execution as well as experience in the Indian market to deliver comprehensive power plant automation solutions to customers.

The agreement was signed by Mr. J.P Singh, Chief Executive, Electronics Sector – II of Electrical & Electronics Division (EBG) of L&T and Mr. Jayaraman Kishore, Region Executive, GE Energy India.

“L&T was looking to provide reliable control systems offering for the rapidly developing power generation sector in order to complete its Electrical & Automation suite,” said Mr R.N Mukhija, President - Operations & Member of the Board of L&T.  He said, “This agreement with GE for the OC4000 series DCS, fulfils this need and is an important step in serving the power plant automation space.”

GE’s Mr Jayaraman Kishore, expressed GE’s enthusiasm at the signing of the agreement. "We are excited about this agreement because L&T has an excellent presence in the Indian Market, a portfolio of products and Systems Integration expertise that complement our power plant DCS automation products", said Mr. Kishore.
