Wipro Technologies launched the contest, CodeZap Guru, its Annual National Coding Contest.

The first national contest of this kind, it aims to excite and bring together the brightest minds from Premier Engineering Schools in the country on their trump skill -cracking a code.

After the success of the CodeZap Guru Contest last year, this year promises to be as exciting with a larger group of students involved and exciting prizes for the winners including Laptops, IPods, and LCD TVs.

The first round of many of the contest will be an online test that is run across 7 regions of the country. The winners of each region will gather together at Wipro's Bangalore Campus for the grand final round.

Speaking on the occasion, Priti Rajora, General Manager-Talent Acquisition, Wipro Technologies stated that such initiatives apart from being fun-filled, make it a thrill for students because it is a close to 'real-life at work' scenario of cracking a code for a problem and knowing whether they can.  The winners of this contest would also get an opportunity to work on cutting edge technology, special projects with the R&D teams at Wipro.
