Nano sales to begin by CY08-end: Ratan Tata

Ratan Tata, Chairman, Tata Motors sees an advantage in Jaguar and Land Rover's loyal customer base. He feels that Jaguar and Land Rover suffered due to Ford's bureaucracy. He added that their Singur plant is near completion and the sales of the Tata Nano are set to begin in the last quarter of CY08. He sees an enormous unprecedented rise in material costs that Tata Motors will have to bear the brunt of tighter money supply and high interest rate, he said.
