ICSA designs to check T&D losses gets patent Office Nod

ICSA (India) Ltd secured design nod for two of its products, namely the Automatic Meter Reading Apparatus and Protector for oil and gas pipelines from the Patent Office under the provisions of the Designs Act, 2000 and the Design Rules, 2001.

 

The company has been developing technology solutions to identify Transmission and Distribution (T&D) losses and monitor power consumption using the GSM Network. The company's solutions help to identify distribution losses that are a huge burden to power utilities and hence, check wastage of power.

 

Speaking about the registration of Designs, Mr. Bala Reddy, CMD, ICSA (India) Ltd. said, "ICSA undertakes intensive in-house R&D to come up with viable, cost-effective solutions for the power sector. The patent office nod for our designs gives a boost to our efforts and we hope to make many more contributions in this regard."

 

Recently the company has secured orders aggregating to Rs. 225.79 crores for supply and erection of Substations and for provision of Rural Electricity infrastructure.
