GHCL now a fair trade certified organisation

GHCL, A $700 million multi product transnational company, operating under the domain of retail, home textiles and soda ash, has received the Fair Trade certification from Flo Cert - Germany Agency.

 

Fair Trade certification is a product certification system which is designed to allow people to identify products that meet agreed environmental, labour and developmental standards. This certificate guarantees Social Compliance at the highest possible level in the business practices that GHCL follow.

 

The system certifies that the company dose not indulge into Child Labour, discrimination between employees and adhere to all legal compliances as per International Labour Organisation standards. GHCL certificate ID is 19338.

 

Mr. Nikhil Sen, head international business & strategy said; “We consider this as an important milestone for the company. This certification reinforces our commitment to the best practices to produce and market high quality products. We are hopeful that this will open new doors for GHCL for better business opportunity from customers who seek Fair Trade certified products only”.
