XIUS-bcgi, the telecom division of Megasoft Ltd., (BSE CODE NO:532408), a leader in delivering innovative telecom solutions for mobile operators and MVNOs worldwide, and Diemo, the revolutionary new real-time mobile banking services provider, today announced a USD $15 million agreement under which Diemo has chosen the XIUS-bcgi Mobile Services Platform to power the launch and delivery of its paradigm-changing service offering in the South American region. Additionally, Diemo has chosen XIUS-bcgi as its System Integration Partner for supply and management of other third-party professional services including content vendors and other value-added services partners. XIUS-bcgi’s Mobile Services Platform is a next-generation convergent platform for Mobile Virtual Network Enablers (MVNEs), Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs), new entrants into mobile telecommunications and next-generation providers. Diemo aims to provide banking and payment services for un-served and underserved markets as well as mobile access. It will roll out its “Diemo correspondent franchise” in small stores, gas stations and lottery agents to provide financial transactions in areas never before serviced by existing banking institutions. The company has also established strategic relationships with retail chains for selling its MVNO services and for serving as end distribution points for its mobile-driven, real-time cash transfer offerings. Diemo will partner with Digitel, the GSM operator in Venezuela, for the first such real-time cash transfer-focused MVNO in the country. It plans to roll out similar country-specific MVNOs across several countries in the South American region, starting with Colombia in late 2008. Other countries will be announced in the coming weeks. XIUS-bcgi will be responsible for the supply and turnkey management of the customized core network infrastructure for enabling Diemo’s mobile launch through its multi-country rollout. Announcing the deal, G V Kumar, CEO of XIUS-bcgi, said, “XIUS-bcgi is very excited about the opportunity to work with such a pioneering organization as Diemo. The agreement is a clear demonstration and validation of the value and attractiveness of our Mobile Services Platform for innovative MVNOs aiming to acquire and support a large subscriber base within aggressive timelines.” Mr. Kumar added, “The contract with Diemo is a multimillion-dollar, multi-year contract and delivers on our promise to provide the next generation of services-centric, core network infrastructure. Our Mobile Services Platform offers powerful services, rapid deployment and management of applications that seamlessly integrate with existing infrastructure and third-party solutions.” “XIUS-bcgi is the clear leader in core network infrastructure for next-generation carriers looking to deploy innovative services, and we look forward to working with XIUS-bcgi and leveraging on their knowledge and experience in the area of authentication, billing, subscriber ownership and interoperability,” said Roman Martinez, CEO of Diemo. “We have partnered with the best-in-breed vendors and have additionally chosen XIUS-bcgi as our SI partner based on its proven expertise in integrating and managing complex deployments comprising multiple third-party solutions.” Martinez continued, “This will greatly enhance our capability to rollout innovative subscriber specific services, enabling us to concentrate on our core business, which is giving access to the financial world to millions of un-banked and un-served people in our continent. The Mobile Services Platform is a natural fit for Diemo’s networks in Venezuela and beyond. More specifically, XIUS-bcgi’s components will greatly enhance our ability to meet the changing needs of subscribers and to scale for growth across millions of potential users. With XIUS-bcgi’s technology, Diemo will achieve flexibility in pricing, branding and service management across multiple network deployments.” “The partnership with Diemo is an important strategic win for XIUS-bcgi, as it extends the global reach of the XIUS-bcgi Mobile Services Platform into Central and South America,” said Upendra Bhatt, vice president of sales for XIUS-bcgi. “Both regions represent emerging markets that are ready to consume the entire spectrum of services that our platform enables.” Sourced From: Adfactors Public Relations Pvt Ltd |
