Mutual funds have invested Rs 9,086 crore over the last six months. MF performance
JM Mutual Fund scheme hit the most in H1CY08 and were the best performing schemes in 2007. MFs six month performance JM HIFI -57.5% The last date for redemptions of hedge funds is June 30 and most investors are jittery this quarter. Some hedge funds like Pardus Cap (USD 2 billion) and Drake Capital Management (USD 5 billion) have suspended redemption altogether. According to some unsaid rules for redemption in hedge funds, some funds have long 'lock-up' period during which no withdrawals are permitted. Some require advance notice of 45-90 days.
