It has been a buzzing week for the equity market. As on March 17, 2008 markets witnessed their 2nd biggest single day point fall (951 points) and then it showed some recovery of nearly 200 points in last two days. During this week Sensex and Nifty have lost 4.5% and 3.3% respectively.

Among sectoral space, BSE bankex was major loser as it lost 10%, BSE metal, realty and oil & gas indices slipped 9%, 8% and 6.5% respectively.

Moneycontrol Research has come out with data, which shows stocks that have lost 15% or over in the last 3 days. In midcap space Orchid Chemical dropped 44%, S Kumar plummet 24%, Gujarat NRE Coke plunged 18.5%, IFCI tumbled 17% and Bajaj Hindusthan was down 15%.

This fall didn’t spare “A” Group stocks like Reliance Capital, Yes Bank, Indiabulls Financial, Jindal Saw, Godrej Industries, Bajaj Holdings,  Essar Shipping etc.
