 It was a historical day for Indian equity markets as BSE Sensex conquered 18000 mark. The Sensex logged biggest intraday gains ever as it closed up 788.85 points or 4.51% at 18280.24. Today Sensex saw an intra-day swing of 1040 points. The total market wide turnover was at Rs 108583 crore.
Moneycontrol researched data shows the list of stocks that contributed in today's rally. The data shows that Reliance Industries was the top performer as it contributed 175 points. The stock closed at Rs 2,600.45, up Rs 183.50, or 7.59%.
NTPC and Reliance Communication were among the other top contributors and contributed 134 and 58 points respectively.
