Oil & Gas stocks have powered the fastest 1,000 point rally on the Sensex. In the journey from 16k-17k, the Oil & Gas index is up 9.5% and the Realty Index is up 7.34%. The PSU and Metal indices are also up more than 5%.

The laggards include IT index, which is down 0.52% and Healthcare and FMCG, which have risen less than 1%.
