Currently Indian equity markets are in a bear phase, but if we see the last two years chart, it shows that equity markets have given a remarkable upmove.

On February 7, 2006 the BSE Sensex closed over 10,000 mark for the first time and on January 10, 2008 it has touched its peak at 21206.77, which implies 112% surge.

Very soon after touching 10K level, On May 11, 2006, Sensex crossed the 12600 mark but was not able to sustain at those levels and got back to 10,085 mark on July 21, 2006.

Moneycontrol research has picked out some value stocks for Investors who missed out investing in that (from July 21, 2006 onwards) rally.

Even today the Sensex closed nearly around 15000 level, BSE’s 117 stocks are 50% below their 10,085 (Sensex) level prices. Stocks like Shah Alloys, Siyaram Silk Mills, Maharashtra Polybutenes and Vaibhav Gems are still 75% below 10,085 level.
