The markets are trading near the day's low after having good opening taking positive cues across the globe. Suddenly in mid noon markets slipped as the capital goods, power, banking, realty and metal stocks were witness-selling pressure.
The BSE capital index has underperformed the other sectoral indices as it slipped over 4% or 595 points from its previous close.
The index heavy weight BHEL, L&T were lost 8% and 6% respectively in today's trade. These two stocks have fallen down 35% and 39% from their 52-week high.
However, the capital goods index has gained 54% in FY2007-08.
