Sintex Industries has come out with excellent results both in terms of growth and profitability. Speaking to CNBC-TV18 Sunil Kanoji, Groupl Pres said he expected organic business to continuing to grow at the rate of 45%-50%.

Excerpts from CNBC-TV18's exclusive interview with Sunil Kanojia:

Q: Could you break up the performance this time around from various business segments and what has really brought about this stupendous growth in net profit, is it from the acquisitions you have made this year?

A: Sintex has given excellent results in terms of growth as well as the profitability. Our overall topline has grown by 95% which stands at USD 22,742 million as compared to USD 11,920 million of previous year.

Plastic has grown by 116%, textile growth is 10%. The Sintex standalone results have grown annually at about 48%. So out of 95% overall growth, 48% comes from Sintex and balance has come from the inorganic, the companies that we have acquired in the previous year.

If you look at the companies that we acquired then none of these companies have contributed for the whole year. We have had companies Wausaukee which has contributed about 9-10 months and Nief has given about six months, and Bright has given about four months. So basically these companies have not yet contributed for the whole of the previous year but For the year 2008 we will have performances coming for the whole of one year.

Q: Given that in FY09 you would see a twelve months contribution coming in from your inorganic moves, what kind of growth can one expect organically from the company on the topline and the bottomline and from these acquisitions?

A: I still feel that the organic business can continue to grow at the rate of 45%-50% overall. This business basically comes from two major segments, which is building products and the composites that is custom molding.

Q: You have raised about USD 390 million over the past six months via some convertible bonds and equities out of this about USD 106 million has gone into these four acquisitions in the recent time, so you would currently have about USD 270-280 million to deploy for further acquisitions?

A: As of now we have about USD 552 million, which we raised very recently from January to March. I would say somewhere around USD 160-200 billion possibly could be for the inorganic and balanced will be deployed in all the segments of Sintex, which are growing rapidly.
