Jagdishkumar M Gupta, CMD of J Kumar Infraprojects said, the company hoped to achieve Rs 400 crore in sales in March '09 and Rs 40 crore in PAT.

He added that of the Rs 207 crore revenue that was seen in March '08, Rs 193 crore came from civil engineering. He said net profit for the full year was about Rs 30 crore and PAT was about Rs 20 crore.

Excerpts from CNBC-TV18's exclusive interview with Jagdishkumar Gupta:

Q: Could you just tell us the expectation of FY09 in terms of sales and profits? What is the target that you hope to achieve?

A: In March ’09 we will cross Rs 400 crore in sales.

Q: And profits?

A: We will cross Rs 40 crore in PAT.

Q: What is your order book situation like and this current order that you have bagged, Rs 170 crore from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai? When do you hope that to come into your books? And any orders if there are in the pipeline?

A: In L1 or Lowest 1, work order is awaited in three to four projects.

Q: How much of the revenue this time around came in from civil engineering and how much came in civil engineering and how much came in from infrastructure projects?

A: This year, March ’08, total is about Rs 207 crore. Last year it was Rs 113 crore. Out of that Rs 193 crore came in civil engineering and Rs 18 crore from other resources.

Q: Even in terms of a full year PAT what have you done in net profit in FY08?

A: Net profit for the full year is close to about Rs 30 crore and PAT will be Rs 20 crore.

Q: What are the plans that you have laid for FY08 in terms of increasing your order book position or execution of the current order book?

A: As I told you, in March ’09 we will cross Rs 400 crore.

Q: Will that be primarily driven by projects in the civil engineering side or the infrastructure side?

A: Both by civil engineering as well as infrastructure.
