Wall Street surges on drop in crude price; Dow up 276 pts

The US markets surged after the financial sector soared the most in its 19-year history. Wells Fargo's better-than-expected earnings sparked the rally that was compounded by short-covering. A steep drop in crude prices helped overshadow disappointingly high inflation reading. Crude slipped USD 4.14 to settle at USD 134.60 a barrel on the NYMEX. Dollar rallies against other major currencies. The Dow gained 276.74 points, or 2.52%, to 11,239.28. The S&P 500 index rose 30.45 points, or 2.51%, to 1,245.36, and the Nasdaq advanced 69.14 points, or 3.12%, to 2,284.85. A look at how the Indian ADRs performed:
