CNBC's Trish Regan - Wall Street gears up for another week of earnings news, this week, the focus is on technology, Apple, Amazon.com, Microsoft, Texas Instruments and more will all roll out details on their latest quarters.
Texas Instruments is first up today and is expected to report healthy gains and also on the earnings docket, we have Bank of America where profits could fall by 2/3rds marked, Eli Lilly and Novartis who are expected to see a boost in their bottom lines, not much fun expected from Hasbro and Mattel, who are still healing from the recalls from Chinese made toys. Also NetFlix earnings are expected to jump by 50%, and also OPEC is on the agenda, it is meeting in Rome for the producer-consumer talks in the oil market.
President Bush holds the North American Leader’s summit in New Orleans and we are going to see if stocks can add to last weeks gains, the Dow is up 4% on the week and the NASDAQ moved nearly 5% higher.
